Description
This adapter lets a FireWire 400 cable with a 6-pin plug connect to a FireWire 800 (9-pin) port on a Mac or PC. Plug it into the FireWire 800 port, then connect your drive or camcorder with its usual 6-pin cable. A FireWire 400 device keeps working at 400 Mbps, as the adapter changes the plug, not the speed. Devices with a small 4-pin FireWire socket need a 4-pin to 6-pin cable as well. The compact body leaves room for the ports next to it. It is covered by a 24-month warranty.
